Ascott Voted ‘Best Serviced Residence’ By Readers Of TravelWeekly China

Latest accolade brings number of awards received by Ascott China to nine this year

Shanghai, 18 December 2007 - The Ascott Group (Ascott) has been chosen the 'Best Serviced Residence' by readers of Travelweekly China for the second year running. Ascott bagged the award for both the inbound and outbound categories, which Travelweekly China introduced for the first time this year.

Mr Ee Chee Hong, Ascott's CEO, China, said: "2007 has been a fruitful year for Ascott in China. With these latest awards by Travelweekly China, Ascott China has now bagged nine accolades this year. Not only have we won four more awards than in 2006, we have also gained new recognition from more award organisers. Other awards won by Ascott this year include Business Traveller China Awards 2007 "Best Serviced Residence Brand - Ascott" and "Best Serviced Residence Brand - 3rd position, Somerset", Business Traveller Asia Pacific Awards 2007 "Best Serviced Residence - Ascott Shanghai Pudong", Forbes China 2007 "China's Best Serviced Apartments - Ascott Beijing", "China's Best Serviced Apartments - Ascott Shanghai Pudong" and "China's Best Serviced Apartments - Somerset Olympic Tower, Tianjin". Ascott also came in first in Top 100 Serviced Apartments Award by China Association of Real Estate, World Real Estate Academy, World Executive Weekly Magazine, The Wall Street Wire and China Consumer Report website 2007.

The annual Travelweekly China Awards recognise the most outstanding performers in China's travel industry. Inaugurated in 2002, the award selection process starts with nominations by Travelweekly China's panel of judges from the tourism industry. The winners from each category are then selected based on the total number of votes garnered by the readers.
