A mindful calendar

Designed with your health and wellness in mind, these upcoming events in cities from America to Australia are ideal for those seeking to step out of their hectic lifestyle and embrace escape and fulfilment.

WONDERFRUIT FESTIVAL, PATTAYA

What is it?

Although it has a focus on sustainability and socialresponsibility, Wonderfruit Festival is not just for eco warriors. This annual celebration of arts, music, and lifestyle features a slew of music performances, art installations, workshops, and talks, as well as exciting gourmet experiences from renowned chefs.

Aside from cuisine and creativity, the Wonderfruit organisers’ first priority is to come up with unique solutions for sustainable living. For example, no plastics are allowed on-site – the tableware is compostable, and the cups are made from bagasse, the fibrous matter left after the extraction of juice from sugar cane. Other examples include stages made of locally sourced bamboo or rice, or even entirely out of trash.

WANDERLUST 108, BERLIN

What is it?

The 108 in the event name is not just a random number; 1 represents unity, 0 embodies wholeness, and 8 stands for infinite love. With that sort of symbolism going on, you can be assured that Wanderlust 108 is an experience that focuses on happiness and wellbeing.

This event – which has editions across various cities – is a celebration of the mindfulness movement, and features a unique day of “intentional activities”, or those pursuits designed to boost our happiness levels. The Berlin edition, which is held at the sprawling Tempelhofer Feld, features a 5km run, an outdoor yoga flow class, and guided meditation. You can also choose to take part in one scheduled activity such as acroyoga (a practice that combines yoga with acrobatics), hooping or a simple walking meditation.
