Currency - Shanghai’s currency is the renminbi (RMB). The city has a wide array of ATMs, but not every one of these machines would accept a foreign card. Credit cards are readily accepted at most major establishments and generally offer good exchange rates.
Internet Access - Most hotels offer either Wi-Fi or internet cables within their premises. You can also find Wi-Fi readily available at many cafes and public areas. However, take note that some social media sites like Facebook and Instagram are blocked in China.
