The Ascott Group Opens The Gateway Kuching, Its Landmark Project in East Malaysia

The Ascott Group has soft-opened The Gateway Kuching, its first landmark project in East Malaysia.

The Gateway Kuching is a prime serviced residence cum office complex in the heart of Kuching's Golden Triangle business district. The development has the distinction of being the tallest and one of the most prestigious in the city.

Gateway Kuching is jointly-developed by the Ascott Group's subsidiary, Liang Court Wanisara Sdn Bhd; the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation, Yayasan Sarawak; and Intersar Enterprise Sdn Bhd, which is owned by a group of Sarawak businessmen and professionals.

The integrated twin-tower complex comprises a 24-storey block with 14,000 square metres of office space and a 16-storey residential building with 64 units of serviced residences on 11 floors.

The serviced residence known as Somerset Gateway offers luxurious fully- furnished units ranging from studio apartments to two to three- bedroom suites. Recreational facilities in the building include an executive lounge, rooftop spa pool and health club.

The Gateway Kuching office development has a strong edge over buildings in East Malaysia in its state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure. It is able to provide its tenants fibre optic lines, ISDN services, high-speed data circuits and video conferencing facilities.
