Ascott Wins Top Honour at 2006 World Travel Awards

Ascott Auckland Metropolis voted the best in Australasia by travel professionals worldwide

Singapore, 22 September 2006 – Ascott Auckland Metropolis, managed by The Ascott Group (Ascott), has achieved two awards at the 2006 World Travel Awards. The serviced residence has not only won the award under the ‘New Zealand's Leading Hotel’ category for a consecutive year, it has also received the top honour under the ‘Australasia’s Leading Hotel’ category. 

Ascott Auckland Metropolis was voted the best by close to 170,000 travel professionals worldwide, beating other international and local hospitality brands to the top spot. The annual World Travel Awards is regarded as one of the most prestigious in the travel industry.
