Reservation Agent

The Role

We are recruiting for a confident; customer focused Reservations Agent to work in our UK and German Hotel Reservations Team on a full time (5 days) 40 hours per week permanent contract. The customer service centre is based at our Corporate Office in Barbican, London, only 200 yards from Barbican Tube station or 5 minutes from Farringdon station.

Ideally you will have already worked in a customer service role and want to work for a global company that offers the opportunity to grow, develop and move within our global portfolio. You need to provide administrative support to ensure that an efficient and professional accommodation booking service is maintained and that all guests requirements are communicated accurately to the operational teams. 
You must be a native German speaking national with fluent English language skills.

The Property

The hotels and serviced apartments we are servicing are located in Central London, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt.  The Opera and Protel reservation systems are our front office systems, full training is provided along with a whole lot of other training, development and promotion opportunities to help you succeed in your job. Based in our support office in Barbican (London City) the reservations department operates five days a week Monday to Friday (8am – 7pm). On a variable shift basis.

The Job

A typical working day would include:

  • Dealing with all enquiries in a courteous and professional manner, taking every opportunity to up sell, in accordance with Company standards.
  • To respond to and to deal with external queries through all channels within the specified time limits.
  • To display a clear and comprehensive knowledge of the hotel, facilities and the local area.
  • To record full and accurate details of bookings in accordance with Company and hotel procedures.
  • To be able to understand and to take into account the Revenue management set up, in order to answer to the client accordingly.
  • To inform clients of the full terms of business, including the cancellation policies and the need to confirm bookings prior to arrival.
